Time Capsule
Write it now. It opens on the day you choose.
Seal your words, a photo and a date into the Wall of Forever. Its place shows from today, under wax; what it says stays hidden until the day you pick — next year, or in fifty — and then it opens for everyone.
Seal your time capsule
How a time capsule brick works
- Write it. Your words, a photo, a date that matters — like any brick.
- Choose the day it opens. Any day from tomorrow to fifty years away. It opens at midnight, your time.
- Seal it. It takes its place on the wall under a wax seal with an hourglass pressed into it. Until the day, only you can read it.
- It opens. On the day the seal breaks and everyone can read it, with a line saying when it was sealed and when it opened.
What people seal for later
For an eighteenth birthday
Written the week they were born, opened the day they come of age.
For a wedding morning
What you hoped for them, read out before the ceremony.
For your future self
Where you are now, and what you were afraid of.
For a class reunion
The predictions, the names, the jokes — ten years on.
For a first home
Who lived here first, and what the street sounded like.
For a promise
Said today, held to on the day it opens.
Proof that nothing changed
The moment you seal it, the brick gets a fingerprint — a long code worked out from every word, the date, the place and the photo. It is shown on the brick's page and on your certificate from the first day. When the seal opens, anyone can check the fingerprint against what is inside: if a single letter had changed, it would not match. Nobody, us included, could change what you sealed without the fingerprint giving it away.
Want to be there when it opens? We email you on the day, and anyone else can ask the brick for one reminder — just an email address, no account.
Write your time capsule
Write it for the day it opens. You choose the date in the next steps.
What is a digital time capsule?
A message you write now and seal until a date you choose. Here it is a brick on the Wall of Forever — its place shows from today, and its words open for everyone on the day.
How far ahead can I choose?
Any day from tomorrow to fifty years away. It opens at midnight in your time zone.
Can anyone read it before then?
No. Until the day, the wall shows only the wax seal and when it opens. You can look inside yourself whenever you like.
Can I change it after sealing it?
No — that is what the seal is for. The fingerprint on the brick's page and on your certificate shows that what opens is exactly what you sealed.
Will I know when it opens?
Yes, we email you on the day. Anyone else can ask the brick for a reminder with just an email address.
How much is it?
€5 for the brick and €3 for the seal, paid once.
