Crowd Seal
It opens when enough people want to read it
Seal your words into the Wall of Forever and show the world a single line. Every reaction cracks the wax a little more; when enough people have added theirs, the seal breaks and everyone can read what was inside.
Seal yours
How a crowd seal works
- Write it — and the one line everyone sees: up to 80 characters. A teaser, a question, a dare.
- Choose how many. 50, 100, 500 or 1,000 people.
- Share it. Every reaction counts once, no account needed, and cracks the seal a little further. Near the end, light starts to leak through.
- It breaks. The moment the last one lands, it opens for everyone — and says so: Opened by 100 people on 3 March 2027.
Lines that get people talking
“The real reason I left Lisbon.”
A story for the people who cared enough to ask.
“Our first song. The lyrics, finally.”
Opened by everyone who came to every gig.
“What really happened at the reunion.”
For the ones who were there, and the ones who heard about it.
“The recipe. All of it.”
Gran’s lasagne, unlocked by the whole family.
“My answer, in a hundred votes.”
Ask the question in public, keep the answer under wax.
“Who it was all along.”
The end of a long-running mystery, when the crowd is ready.
Fair, and open to anyone
Anyone can add theirs, signed in or not, and each person counts once. Until it breaks, everyone sees the same three things: the wax with its cracks, your line and the count. The rest stays sealed, and a fingerprint on the brick's page shows nothing inside changed while it waited.
Anyone who adds theirs can leave an email to hear the moment it breaks.
Crowd seals are not offered on remembrance bricks — a race to unlock a memorial is no way to remember someone. A time capsule or a private brick is.
Write what’s behind the seal
Write the inside first. The line everyone sees, and how many people it takes, come in the next steps.
What is a crowd seal?
A brick on the Wall of Forever whose message stays hidden under a wax seal until enough people react to it. Only one line — yours — shows until then.
How many people does it take?
You choose — 50, 100, 500 or 1,000.
Do people need an account to break it?
No. Anyone can add theirs once; signing in is optional.
Can one person push it open alone?
No. Each account and each browser counts once, and reactions from the same network are capped.
What do people see before it opens?
The wax seal, cracking a little more with every reaction, your line, and how many have added theirs.
Can I use one for a memorial?
No. For a remembrance brick, choose a time capsule or a private brick instead.
How much is it?
€5 for the brick and €3 for the seal, paid once.
